ADATA is well known for its high-end storage products, but it’s their gaming division, XPG, that really excites us! We’ve seen everything from gaming PCs to eSports peripherals from XPG over the last few years, and now, we’ve got their latest high-end DDR4 memory! ADATA has just revealed their new XPG GAMMIX D45 and SPECTRIX D45G RGB DDR4 memory modules. As they say themselves, they’re “sporting rugged industrial designs and equally robust capabilities, the modules are designed for discerning overclockers and gamers seeking gaming flair and reliable overclocking performance.” However, I can’t help but get a neon/retro vibe from the design, not an industrial one. It makes me think of the Peppermill in Las Vegas, actually. I’m sure they’re on point with the performance aspect though, given that XPG is their gaming division, you’ll be expecting strong performance as standard.
GAMMIX D45 and SPECTRIX D45G RGB
Sporting a black armour-like aluminium exterior, with rugged ridges giving them a heavy-duty look and feel. They also offer incredibly sturdy performance for overclocking. They achieve this by using only the highest quality IC chips and PCBs and feature Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) 2.0 support. XMP 2.0 makes overclocking a snap and enhances system stability. Instead of adjusting individual parameters in BIOS, users can do it right through their PC’s operating system. Both modules have been rigorously tested and verified to work with the latest AMD platforms for hassle-free compatibility and seamless performance.
Both the GAMMIX D45 and SPECTRIX D45G RGB modules come in the following capacities of 8GB, 16GB, and 32 GB to suit your needs.
RGB Gaming Flair That Shines Through
Users can set the RGB lighting on the SPECTRIX D45G exactly the way they want it. They can choose from different effects (static, breathing, and comet) or sync the lights with their favourite jams via Music Mode. All this can be done through the XPG RGB Sync app or RGB control software from all the major motherboard brands, including those from ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and ASRock.
Price and Availability
The hardware market is so volatile right now, so stock and prices may vary from region to region. However, we expect the retail stock to land any time now, so check with your local retailer for up to date pricing information. Fingers crossed, I can track down a review sample, and we’ll see what this kit can really do!
